Man it's wild how much more flaccid most of the remake's cutscenes are compared to the original, despite being fully animated. I feel like it was a choice to do that, and it hurts as someone who has the original burned into my neurodivergent brain, down to every sound effect and voice clip.

png worked fine for years and is as widely supported as jpeg, idk why the latter is the one people are less willing to get rid of and insist upon "either JPEG or one of these newer less supported formats" and just kind of exclude PNG from the conversation.

i've never had issues with png file sizes.
