this fear mongering about mass transit is grotesque. I grew up outside of Boston, and took the streetcar/subway every day as a kid (starting at age 7, by myself)β€”never got a driver’s license there b/c there was public transit. It was sometimes uncomfortably hot/crowded, but it worked
