Toinen äklömakeeta, mutta alas menee sekin.
In my early twenties I did. Then fortunately something "clicked" and I haven't had issues since.

Toivottavasti saat pian selville, että mitä toi oireilu on.
Ole Ivar Løvaas, known for ABA therapy/ dehumanising autistic people/ contributing to conversion therapy, lied about his past during the Nazi occupation of Norway. He & his family were involved in the collaborationist fascist movement. @asmundbgjerde.bsky.social journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...
I hope so too.

Looked at like an alien when I did exactly what someone else did. Practicing facial expressions in the mirror. Self-harming while silently screaming "WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!" Abused at home and ostracized at school, I attempted at 8yo.
Please tell them.
Give them a "why."
Started watching "Pluribus". 2 episodes in. Interesting, to say the least! Loved Seehorn in "Better Call Saul", otherwise I wouldn't have started it, I'm not into this kind of genre. Now looking forward to seeing how things will develop! #Pluribus
Exclusive: Jay Graber is stepping down as head of Bluesky. Venture capitalist Toni Schneider will be the interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.
I'm sorry to hear. Wishing you strength x
On International Women’s Day it’s great to remember that Grunya Sukhareva identified Autism before Kenner (100 years ago), identified that Autism presented regardless of sex, and that it is a spectrum.

Relatable.
A pioneer, in the sense of someone who did seminal (but questionable) work several decades ago, is asking us to ignore most of the work that's been done since she was last relevant.
Autistic people are asking you to think critically about this.
Senior author of classic theory of mind & autism paper (Frith) minimizes autistic ppl's sensory issues. www.tes.com/magazine/tea...
Yet hypersensitivity is in original (Sukhareva, Asperger, Kanner), autistics' accounts. Interaction happens *btwn* ppl. More in sensory-1st paper:

I'd LOVE a wash & go hair. Well, wash, add conditioner, maybe a styling product, minimal time spent styling, then go.
(I've had short before multiple times.)
Hairdresser's tomorrow, that's why these thoughts. Just no idea what I want. Even toying with the idea of growing my own brown (6) back.
I have no interest in spending time styling my hair (naturally curly. A lazy curl so styling has meant straightening as the curls take a lot of effort to look nice), but I'm SO bored of wearing a bun every day. (Apart from special occasions.) I'd like to look like I've done my hair. Short? No idea.
Parents, pls tell your autistic kids they are autistic: "You may think that an autistic child won’t notice they are different than their non-autistic peers; I have not met one autistic person (me included) who hasn’t noticed their difference early in life."

A question I couldn't even begin to answer 😅 Any feed or follow recommendations for them?
I have no idea (nor understanding 😅) for such recommendations, sorry. I'll share if someone else could help.
Alison Singer & her " #ProfoundAutism" campaigners were really mad about the increased autistic IACC representation in 2022, because they wanted more "profound autism" parents. Even though other IACC parents/siblings *did* have high-support autistic loved ones.
www.ncsautism.org/blog//select... 3/
About this new "I-ACC" panel Alison Singer has put together to counter RFK's pseudoscience garbage vortex IACC:
This is NOT good news for autistic people, because Singer loathes (and never stops trying to smear) autistic advocates. You should always be very skeptical of her autism projects. 1/
Android here and this is exactly how it is for me. Finger on the top, scroll doesn't work. Finger on the first post, scroll works. Didn't used to be like this, scrolling worked just fine.
