In Mothership, we recently, we had a Beowulf cluster of Androids kill a friendly NPC, put another one in a coma, and almost frie two PCs with a laser cutter.

Star Borg by @jpcoovert.bsky.social may fit the bill. I haven't played it yet but it looks accessible, affordable, and it's a hack of Mork Borg so you'll have rulings over rules that BX/OSR play offers.
If it makes you feel better, that's generally how people within the OSR/NSR view the term as well lol

What a cool character sheet for Into the Odd! I don't know if I've seen this one before.
I'll admit between Dungeon Meshi's dungeon crawling, and Frieren's point crawl emergent weather format. (Not to mention her collecting spell books like an OG Magic User) I've got anime to thank for getting me into the OSR mindset.

Haha yeah this is about accurate. I ran one in college and it went great! But that was before I discovered OSR/NSR games so we did all that in 5e.
Now I've got too many systems and campaigns I wanna run that starting an open table just doesn't quite fit the schedule.
Every 3-6 months or so I've been getting a little bug in the back of my brain saying "Do it. Run an open table West Marches Keep on the Borderlands in OSE." And I go down so many rabbit holes trying to figure out how I'd do it.
It's fun but I think it's likely implausible at the moment lol.
The moment soloplay "clicked" for me was when I played the Depth-Crawl "This Ship is a Tomb" and used the Solodark Oracle.
I ended up modifying things into a playing card deck oracle instead.
And I eventually shifted to a Tarot deck for open ended questions.
