"mainstream media is suppressing information that's only on social media" the information on social media:
A court has ruled that the government's authoritarian ban on Palestine Action was unlawful.
Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.
A screen captured video of an email from the Epstein files. A journalist drags Peter Mandelson’s email address on to a mostly redacted black block, showing that it perfectly lines up with the portion of text poking out of the bottom of the redaction block.
DOJ failures to properly redact Epstein files are horrendous. 🧵👇[1/3]

…And because ClawBot gives agents a memory, those instructions could be written to trigger at a later date, which (in theory) makes it even harder to track what’s going on.”
I wonder how much water and energy it took to enable this over the last fortnight. www.technologyreview.com/2026/02/06/1...

The MIT piece by @willdouglasheaven.bsky.social does a beautiful job of outlining how the hype not only overstates, again, AIs current capabilities but also occludes the security risks of agentic AI.
After going viral, #Moltbook is confirmed “more #AI theatre” by @TechnologyReview.com.
OpenAI cofounder Andrej Karpathy called it “genuinely the most incredible sci-fi takeoff” - then @gothburz.bsky.social admitted being behind one of its most viral posts, a “manifesto” on AI autonomy. [1/4]

A screenshot of an email from the Epstein files. One sentence reads “I was going to take polo lessons in Calgary but I BLANK think my body can handle it!” It appears likely, due to the sentence structure and the size of the redaction block, that the missing word is “don’t”.
There’s also an email in which the word “don’t” has clearly been redacted, suggesting an AI bot looking for Don T…

for over 3 weeks, I've spoken to ICE watchers and organizers across the country: first right after Renee Good's killing — then 2 weeks into my reporting, Alex Pretti was killed.
ICE watchers are being detained and harassed — but they're also stopping ICE abductions and inspiring others to join them

The Dutch capital of Amsterdam has become the world's first capital city to ban fossil fuel ads, set to come into force on 1st May. 1/2
Attorney General Pamela... * @AGPamBondi X.com At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. More details soon. 8:09 AM • 1/30/26 • 35K Views 384 0 565 2K 49
interested to learn what “at my direction” means because it sounds like “without a warrant”
The US government has tried and failed to get a magistrate judge to sign off on an arrest warrant for Lemon. And then to get a more senior judge to grant it.
Seems like they’ve now found a way to get it done – arresting a hugely high profile journalist for reporting is a real threshold.
This is one of the strangest and most screwed-up stories I’ve worked on. www.londoncentric.media/p/tiktok-lon...
BREAKING: Syria has erupted into civil war once again. ISIS prisoners are breaking free and the precious, unique haven of democracy that is Rojava is under threat like never before.
A line graph showing the steeply rising number of editorials supporting 'less action' and the sharply falling number of editorials supporting 'more action' on climate from 2011 to 2025. The steep rise begins in 2021, and the 'more action' jumps around 2018, reaching a sharp peak in 2021, and falling fairly steadily since.
⚠️ @carbonbrief.org has been analysing UK newspaper editorials on #ClimateAction since 2011. 2025 is the first year opposition to climate action has exceeded support.

Trump is trying to kill clean energy. The market has other plans. #Climate
There are places where Trump, as president, has broad freedom of action. And there are places where Trump, as president, has been able to act unilaterally because the main point of opposition, Congress (and SCOTUS), support his program. (1/?)
Wikipedia was created 25 years ago, today – since then it’s become the largest collection of relatively reliable knowledge in history
But how vulnerable is it to those willing to pay top dollar to polish their reputations? And how do British PR firms help them do it?
CBS Evening News tweet doctored to say "We like to party. And the Vengabus is coming."
I, for one, applaud CBS News for being honest about its new POV
It’s gone too far now. I am worse off for knowing that my second most prevalent purchase this year was cabbages.
