R.J. Decker Review: Scott Speedman Takes on ABC’s New P.I. Show Scott Speedman stars in ABC's R.J. Decker as a disgraced newspaper photographer trying to rebuild his life as a private investigator, a lighter kind of crime series.

It reminds me of a mix between Magnum P.I., with that sunny private-eye vibe, and Burn Notice, where a guy who lost his job helps people while dealing with local crooks. We might even get some of that Moonlighting energy in the next few episodes.

I’ll go with the win: still managed to get writing in this week.

My stepfather entered hospice last week and is expected to pass very soon. Writing has been a helpful distraction from all that in the moments I’ve had to myself.
