I mean, it is very true that certain meds can cause a continuation of breathing as a direct effect.
@archive.org just wondering, what page has the Wayback Machine actually captured behind this invalid url? web.archive.org/web/20251001...
I work mo-fr and I almost always go running with the regulars on saturdays so that leaves the sundays. And for half of those I end up planning to visit family or whatever. So 2 or so?
But I value my unscheduled evenings and half-days quite a lot.
I didn't think I liked ska until someone sent me some @skatunenetwork.bsky.social youtube vids. Their covers are such a bop
Welp, so now some American company stole the concept of Holle Bolle Gijs.
This looks like the hidden entrance to a land of wonder and mystery.

Projections show that Trump's USAID cuts risk 14 MILLION deaths in the next 5 years, most of them children.

THAT'S political violence.
But they aren't white, so America doesn't care.

If you
- stand against genocide, this govt will call you antisemite and doesn't mind if you get death threats.
- dress up as a fake cop and illegally "check cars for immigrants", this govt protects you.
- give a refugee shelter or just soup, this govt wants to jail you.
What a country
I'm glad there's one app that stays sane in all the madness.
When, in 2006, a German grid operator accidentally caused a continent-wide chain reaction of lines shutting down, the grid broke itself up into chunks, with one running a bit faster than nominal and another a bit slower. Getting them synced again was Hard. youtu.be/W3hqCSmSYLM?...
I'm pretty sure this is the first time in the history of mankind that a Weather Institute thanks carbon dioxide for anything.

Now I'm trying to imagine what the world would be like with @techconnectify.bsky.social as POTUS.

If the only way to spend your time would be to read a magazine from the stack in a waiting room, would you pick:
A) One of the 30 girly gossip mags
B) The one with fast cars and muscular guys sharing diet tips
C) The one with bad economic takes from men w/ suits
D) The one pop science mag for kids
Thermus aquaticus are the GOAT.
They're bacteria that live - even THRIVE - in the literal boiling waters of the Yellowstone geysers. And in their proteins they held the secret to make PCR scale.
Many medical advancements of the last 50 years were only possible because of these chill little guys.

A picture of an Apple mouse upside down on a desk, its ports in the air. It's on a white background, its shiny aluminium body still. It could be scared, it could be resting. You know what you have to do.
The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.
Well, this thread taught me that after clicking "show more" a couple times, bsky stops loading new posts in a thread and to see the rest of it you have to open up the last visible post as the "main post" and it'll start from there as if it's a new thread.
I'm pretty sure this account is legit official bsky support and I've given it a follow.
Okay, I did some searching, they offer several tiers with more tests the more you pay, starting from $355 up till 4 times as much.
I heard that in South Korea you can pay $200 for a 3 hour health test. The place has loads of numbered rooms, you go through each, they test something in every room, and you get report by e-mail. Includes CT scan, increased cancer chance, blood levels, whether your vaccines could use a top-up, etc.
cheer up! you'll eventually have a reason to feel good, probably!!!!
cheer up
Even after a thorough scrubbing, we were afraid that that little girl's desk would smell like cabbage for the rest of time.
