Last year I prepared an article for @pagedout.bsky.social on how to display OLED graphics in the terminal to speed up embedded development.
Was super happy they reached out and really like how the article came out!

Iβve decided to buy a @prusa3d.com Core One+ using prusameters!
Iβll be polishing up some projects and publishing them on Printables. The first one is this cute case for a #LoRa device. Like and download to fund my new printer! π

You can now visualize how a color palette distributes across OKHsv, OKHsl, OKLCh and CIELab, and compare 6 distance metrics side by side. Zero dependencies, raw WebGL2.
Took me 3 years to make something I wasn't too embarrassed to share π

Je revends une de mes imprimantes! Passe Γ Zurich π
Cool repo! Link does not work for me as is though, I think you need to remove /settings π
Looks a lot like the tools by other Swiss artist @meodai.bsky.social !
Link to SKAPA: skapa.build
And to the blog post about the dev process: nmattia.com/posts/2025-0...
SKAPA is the most challenging but also rewarding FE project I have undertaken (details ππ)! I published the first version a year ago now.
To celebrate the anniversary I've given it a fresh coat of paint, #a11y support and added some text for curious minds and crawlers alike. More to come soon!
I wrote niv years ago to make #Nix dependency management simpler β GitHub specific, built-in updaters.
Talking about Nixtamal was fascinating. Different tradeoffs: no forge-specific shortcuts, fully scriptable updates, and a much more principled stance.
I was impressed by how uncompromising it is!
My AirLab production unit just arrived! Very stoked!
Designed and assembled by Networked Artifacts 10mn from where I live in Zurich, though it took a little detour to Texas before reaching my mailbox (:
(Beta unit in the background looking jealous)
Found a postcard I had bought during covid and printed a SKADIS holder for it, then I knew I just had to update the cover image on Printables π

For 2026 Iβm treating myself to a new programming paradigm with the Icepi Zero
Love it! Do you get any interference from surrounding boards or from the rack itself?
The SNAP-BLAH.
Serves No Actual Purpose β But Looks Awesome, Heh?
(An experiment in driving LEDs with rp2040's PIO)
Merci! Jβai cru que je perdais la vue π
Quick connectivity check before calling it a day!
Before I spend a bunch of time reinventing this wheel for the hundredth time, does anyone know of a simple 4x4, nice!nano/ProMicro-based macropad PCB?
If not, do you want one to exist?
Even if you're more into electronics than cooking, Italian genes will manifest in the form of spaghetti.
Some of the 30 LEDs (1206) I soldered by hand for my latest obsession.
Took me 10mn per LED for the first row; by the end I was managing about 1mn per LED!
My friendβs programming book arrived just in time for some cosy holiday reading!
Soon to be found in every hotel nightstand?
Finished migrating my RPis to the Homeracker by @kellervater.bsky.social!
Really love these old school DL1414t displays!
The datasheet is convoluted β and in some places plain wrong βΒ but when it finally works they're a delight to look at.
I ordered my first custom PCB.
After some surgery on said PCB, I'm finally able to play snake how it was always meant to be played: on a 6x5 LED display, with 1 FPS.
I still see it when I close my eyes.
Some #CreativeCoding inspired by recent travels
I'm having the time of my life playing with Charlieplexed LEDs.
With 4 pins, you can individually turn on each of 12 LEDs. Every unique of +/- combo turns on a different LED.

I'm recreating a game (guess which one) for the Flipper Zero using a custom LED display. Sadly my display can only illuminate a single LED at once. But if it switches quickly enough...

Some comments on your video say weβll make up for the shortage with software optimization, letβs hope theyβre right!
Uh I guess there are two "e"s in @jeffgeerling.com! Sorry and great watch BTW!
RAM shortage: @raspberrypi.com is increasing their prices, and I just watched a video from @jeffgerling.com mentioning that others will follow suit βΒ and it'll impact us all.
I do all of my work on a 2021 MacBook Air with 8GB of memory and haven't experienced any sort of lag. What am I doing wrong?
