David Lynch opened and held a place for art that other creators could point to whenever a potential editor or producer wanted to turn their work down because it was too weird, and get that work made/published etc. He kept proving audiences weren't dumb.

A copy of Scott Nicolay's 2015 novella _after_ and accompanying Michael Bukowski art prints sits on top of 6 small stacks of Scott's new novella _caterpillars_.
Well, I received one box of Scott Nicolay's new novella _caterpillars_, but the second box is somewhere in the bowels of the USPS, last seen in Phoenix AZ. *sigh* So if you order now you still have a chance to win a copy of Scott's rare 2015 novella _after_. Only 23 copies of _caterpillars_ left!

Laird Barron is a titan of modern prose. The words he chooses, the pictures he paints, combine together for a phenomenal experience called Not A Speck of Light.

Word Horde has also published multiple collections by John Langan, including Children of the Fang and Other Genealogies, Mr. Gaunt and Other Uneasy Encounters, and Corpsemouth and Other Autobiographies.
We are excited to announce that Word Horde will continue this tradition in 2025 by publishing John Langan’s latest collection Lost in the Dark and Other Excursions!
In 2026, Word Horde will be publishing the long-awaited new novel by John Langan entitled The Cleaving Stone.

One episode into The Penguin and I'm hooked. Feels like it takes place in a world midway between Batman and The Sopranos. Great writing, intriguing characters, solid acting.

The cover of GIRL IN THE CREEK is mostly black water with green lily pads and a dark-haired girl floating in it. Gray fungi sprouts from the girl's torso. The title is written in vivid yellow text that is evocative of handwriting.
Here's the cover of my upcoming horror novel GIRL IN THE CREEK, about a true crime writer's discovery of a dead body who refuses to stay dead.
Twin Peaks meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers, coming June 2024 from Tor Nightfire!
