a very small drawing today, on theright is a white shield with a dark brown swirl and little brown spots. I'll be honest, I was originally trying to paint a piece of curled up cinnamon bark with cinnamon 'dust' around it but it ended up looking like a cinnamon bun. Later in the day I had cause to remember Mike Parry's disastrous attempt to eat a spoonful of cinnamon, and recreated this as a crest on the left, It's an overconfident man with glasses and a beard spewing out a cloud of ground cinnamon. Got a bit carried away. There are two paintings today. First is Sable, a Pissant passant proper fimbriated argent. More simply, a black shield with an ant on it, the ant is coloured normally and has a white edge all round it. 'Passant' in heraldry refers to a beast in a walking pose, side-on, and is of course also French for 'passing'. The second shield is black-ish, with two white hands, one passing a golden baton to the other - proof, if any were needed, that hands are difficult (but who is that mysterious person being passed the baton?). yes i know the hand receiving should be a *right* hand and not a left hand for it to make sense.

a white piece of card with scribbly writing as per the text of this post. below the text is a shield shape. the top third is red and in the centre of the red area is a silver platter on which rests a roasted bird (chicken/turkey). the red section looks like it is being tugged down into the lower, white part of the shield by a blond dog with a red collar. The dog will soon enjoy the feast, and no doubt still ask for its full dinner later as well. Good dog.
