Another trip out to St Davids by bus. A Cetti's Warbler was the highlight at Pencarnan they don't breed out at St Davids and i presume this bird was a spring passage bird. There were still 3 White-fronted Geese at Penberi Reservoir.

We have one bus here in Pembrokeshire on a Sunday the T5 Haverfordwest to Aberystwyth. That is a slight improvement because we used to have no buses on a Sunday.

I caught the bus to Newport late morning. The Green-winged Teal was still in its usual place above the iron bridge and it was nice to see a Grey Plover and 2 Knot on the estuary.

It was nice to find these two Russian White-fronted Geese at Penberi, St Davids today. At the Dowrog Common 3 Hen Harriers (2 males) roosted and 3 Whooper Swans flew over St Davids Recycling Centre entrance road at dusk whilst i was waiting for a bus. Not a bad couple of hours around St Davids.

A trip to Llys-y-Fran Reservoir late afternoon with my birding buddy Brian Southern didn't produce a hoped for white-winged gull. But we did have a nice 2cy Caspian Gull, 10 Med Gulls, a 2cy Yellow-legged Gull and a drake Goldeneye. Also my first time birding by car in quite a while.

I caught a bus to Pendine with the intention of looking for the 2 drake Surf Scoters that were seen off there, but the sea was just too rough to look. I then decided to head to Wiseman's Bridge by bus and did a walk from there to Saundersfoot.

I left the bikes at home today and caught the bus to Newport Pembrokeshire. I arrived just as the tide was dropping to find the Green-winged Teal asleep. A Kingfisher made a brief appearance and 5 adult Med Gulls were nice to see.
