honestly just give me the laura epilogue that really sinks into what it built up in the show, like she canonically goes to england, alone, to do indie rock gigs as a failed idol looking to forge a new path in life, that's an insanely cool premise for aikatsu i would kill for a movie of that lol

(other than haruka ruka of course) but i love all her focus episodes and the role she plays in the show personally, i think it does end up as a complete-ish arc for me but yeah i would've loved a full focus arc too

theres a thing with stars in that i dont think it was well planned out half the time but it almost stumbles into these really great high points and ends up with a fairly cohesive story of growth and an interesting and fun cast, laura is probably the biggest victim of their lack of planning for sure

honestly these days if anything i wish they focused on it more, i can understand why you'd be left wanting more with laura for me they had really something very good with her and 86 did it for me but if it doesn't for someone then there's not really much else to chew on.

theres no more powerful moment to me in stars than laura looking into that mirror at her lowest point, being confronted with overwhelming talent she'll never have, the reality that she'll never be a top idol, but realizing she can still be her an idol for others and finding the strength to smile

imo the idea of giving focus to an idol that doesn't actually achieve their dream and having to find another path in life was very important and relatable to me at the time. but if 86 doesn't convince you she doesn't deserve her spot alongside yume then it's hard for me to really explain it lol
