Anyway, in 2010 I challenged myself to read more books by Filipino authors and managed to find them, including romance books in English. It’s been 15 years (!) and I’m barely keeping up with my Filipino romance TBR. My 2010 book blogger self would be thrilled.
The real problem we Filipino authors face is this, the persistent narrative that our books are rare, and have to periodically be discovered by knights in shining armor.
The reality is that we've been here for over a decade, but some people never buy/read us (until they rebrand as our champions).
