I am outraged by the unjust arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka earlier this afternoon outside of Delaney Hall in Newark.
I am calling for his immediate release by federal law enforcement.
The way we were treated at Delaney Hall is almost unbelievable. ICE shoved me, manhandled @repbonnie.bsky.social, and arrested Mayor Baraka.
They disrespected us and tried to stop us from conducting the oversight we’re elected to do. But we’ll never back down in our fight for what is right.
The robot then followed by a woman who was speaking like someone speed reading Wikipedia while uttering their sentences.
“St Michael the Virgin” was a particularly hilarious mistranslation. Weirdly they were somewhat saved by the robotic cadence which made it very hard to follow the sense of what was being said.
Was the BBC using AI to translate the new pope’s first message?! it was absolutely awful - incomprehensible and inaccurate 😣
