Can we please find a way to write articles so we don’t have to cite everything ever written on the topic, and struggle to find ways to nicely say why they’re wrong.

I struggled to divide student into groups to discuss four themes yesterday. I could not do the math. That’s how tired I am.

This man then got on the subway and made jokes involving knight puns for two stops. As a pun-averse person in academia, I don’t think I deserved any of this.

100% this. I can’t imagine studying languages, doing research, or writing my book without FLAS, Fulbright-Hays, NEH, and the defunct SSRC humanities fellowships. It kills me that grad students and junior scholars don’t have these opportunities.

This is the most confusing thing I have seen on this site so far. I don’t know anymore what is parody but I’m pretty sure calling this shawarma should be illegal. Am I not being nice? Do I need to stop?
