it is genuinely maddening to see pundits and reporters say things like “well trump has an advantage on crime” while the public consistently says “we think this guy sucks on crime”
No one's asking Abigail Spanberger or anyone else to run on a single-issue trans rights ticket, and I don't think defending basic principles of equality and school safety is a Herculean task for anyone. But the dodges just invite further attacks and help push public opinion further right
In the recent past, I’ve visited DC, NYC, Detroit & several other great US urban areas. I’ve walked around with my fam & used public transport at night. I’ve never felt skittish & definitely haven’t packed heat (never owned a gun). These m*ga “men” are not only liars, but insufferable wimps & losers
The constant shutdowns are really bad, but I do also think it's bad that, over & over, random things Google has run basically as public services because they were worth having around but couldn't make a profit have become so load-bearing
I've seen people say things like "our troops weren't designed to be used on US!!!" and look, I totally understand, I agree in some ways, but I really, really hope that if you feel that way you spend time thinking about the fact that there's no such thing as a weapon that can't be pointed at you.
