Yes. Any older house has had some odd choices made by previous owners, and you’re lucky if they just painted over wallpaper instead of stripping the paper first.

Do they have a lower point of satiety, but need to eat again sooner? Are they β€œsaving room for dessert”?
It’s not just why you do something, but also why others do something.

Turn the question around. Why do they need less food? Are they eating more often? Are they arranging the plate because they want it to look betterβ€”to show off what’s there more effectively? Or so they don’t look like they eat too much? Are they starting with a smaller helping & getting more later?

We need reparations for ICE victims.

Anything short of that is setting the stage for a massive wealth grab from people of color that will re-entrench racial disparities for generations.

Invasive parasite that spreads its seed into other things that it then grotesquely puppets with the goal of sucking the planet dry and then repeating the cycle? Which is then spread willingly by irresponsible rich folk who believe it to be the next frontier of human evolution?

Yup, checks out.

The more I read this decision, the more I understand that its logic is that state Medicaid / Medicare can decline, without respect to medicinal standards of care or established scientific evidence, any arbitrary treatment.

Regarding the disgusting canard about Muslims trying to impose sharia law: the β€œbasis” is the recognition of sharia courts’ rulings as legally binding arbitrations.

This is no different than the legal recognition of a Beis Din’s Halakhic rulings.

No one is being compelled to follow sharia law.

After a series of fatal strikes involving civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, Congress directed the Pentagon to reduce civilian casualties as part of a 2019 law. During the Biden administration, the Defense Department created the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response initiative.

I knew that the Department of War shot a missile into a school & killed 175 civilians, mostly children.

This is learned today:

Secretary of War Hegseth had cut the teams assigned to prevent such tragedies by 90%.

yesterday’s & today’s were the two men who killed in that detention center shooting in Dallas in September. both young dads, big loving families, nothing worse than one DUI each, but they couldn’t run when the shooting started because they were shackled. ICE never bothered notifying their families

Remember pieces of eight? The old Spanish coin that was often split into quarters and eighths for small change? Maybe that’s where a quarter-dollar comes from. Because the piece of eight coin was also called the Spanish dollar.
