It’s not just why you do something, but also why others do something.
Turn the question around. Why do they need less food? Are they eating more often? Are they arranging the plate because they want it to look better—to show off what’s there more effectively? Or so they don’t look like they eat too much? Are they starting with a smaller helping & getting more later?

Regarding the disgusting canard about Muslims trying to impose sharia law: the “basis” is the recognition of sharia courts’ rulings as legally binding arbitrations.
This is no different than the legal recognition of a Beis Din’s Halakhic rulings.

yesterday’s & today’s were the two men who killed in that detention center shooting in Dallas in September. both young dads, big loving families, nothing worse than one DUI each, but they couldn’t run when the shooting started because they were shackled. ICE never bothered notifying their families
