We were all deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Glenn Keating, who was student in MMT in 2004/2005.
Everyone in MMT sends their condolences to Glenn’s wife Leda, sons Arlo and Llewyn, and to all his family and friends.

🎉 Congrats to Dr Mauricio Flores Vargas on passing his PhD Viva last Friday! A Viva is the final oral exam for a PhD. His thesis on real-time vocal auralisation in XR also includes his award-winning 2025 IEEE IWMM paper. Well done, Dr Flores Vargas! 🙂

Meet Ian. Ian Veenman is a Dublin based songwriter, producer & multi instrumentalist. He has performed, composed and worked on numerous musical projects and continues to enthusiastically engage with any music related work.
With her focus on Graphic Design and Media Production her project looks at the connection between music production and album artwork design and how the two coexist.
Meet Eileen. Originally from Louth she Acquired her BA in Music and Music Technology from Maynooth University and has a passion for all things sound design and audio production.
He received a BS in Music Technology from Georgia Institute of technology in 2024 and is currently pursuing an MPhil in Music and Media Technology at Trinity Collage Dublin.
Meet Joe. Joe Rutland Walker is a laptop artist, musician, and instrument builder from Atlanta, GA. His work examines the self through the recontextualization, and manipulation of digital media.
Meet Pavlina. Pavlina is from Cyprus and has always been passionate about music and the arts. After working in the computer science field, she chose to study Music and Media Technologies at Trinity College and hopes to pursue a career in music and audio design.
Meet Fran. Fran is a sonic artist, musician, maker and engineer who explores the boundaries between Art and Technology.
Particularly interested in color and music, she is excited to continue creating multidisciplinary pieces that reflect her diverse interests and passions.
Meet Raisa. From Brooklyn NY, Raisa is a pianist and audio engineer who has discovered her love for combining audio and visual entities to create new dynamic works.
Meet Tom. From the Bay Area, Tom is excited to dive even deeper into DSP and Audio Programming. Audio effects, robots, games, he is ready to make them all!
She writes and performs music that could be described as psychedelic classical with her ensemble, gabubabu.
Meet Gabriela. Gabriela is a pianist, improviser, and composer with a passion for all things strange,
experimental, and genre-defying in music. She graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester in 2024.
Meet Tadhg. Tadhg received a BA in music and English from University College Dublin. He is a music teacher and enthusiastic performer in a number of different bands. He is deeply interested in songwriting, performance, literature and creative work in general.
Meet Sarah. Sarah is a music graduate from Trinity College Dublin and focuses on combining her artistic expression with technical research. Based in Dublin, her interests lie in exploring the brain through sound, merging creativity and science to uncover new ways of listening.
Meet Owen. Owen is a singer-songwriter from Huntsville, Alabama. He writes “”Gen Z bedtime stories”” documenting the process of coming-of-age and searching for identity in an increasingly alien, digital world.
Meet Emma. Emma has a BA in music from the University of Oxford and is now specialising in audio programming and producing. She is looking forward to pursuing a career in audio engineering or binaural audio research.
He also founded a music forum in 2016 and spent several years working as a Unity/Unreal Developer.
Meet ErBrown. With over 4 years as an experienced music composer and music lead in the game and film industry, ErBrown hopes to continue working as a developer and showcasing his unique artistic tastes. He specializes in orchestration, scoring and game engine development.
She aims to expand her creative network in Dublin and gain further professional experience across all areas of the music industry.
Meet Hannah. Hannah is a singer and producer with a background in branding and advertising. Her passion for experimental approaches to music, along with a strong appreciation for visual design and composition, was deepened through her studies in the MMT program.
When not mixing growls and blast beats, he experiments with trailer music, spaghetti and sound design.
Meet Andrea. Before moving to Dublin, Andrea studied Electroacoustic Music at the Naples Conservatory, Italy. He brings to LIFE a DEATH metal/deathcore project, taking care of composition and songwriting, guitars and bass, production and video making.
His study interests focused on game development and design, mainly for immersive environments, and the use of BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) in health-related areas, such as relaxation issues.
Meet Kevin, a drummer, teacher, and producer. He studied music at Trinity College Dublin for his bachelor’s degree and has performed at many college balls, including Trinity Ball, Bess Ball, and RCSI Ball. He was also the Chairman of the TCD Chinese Society for the past two years.
