You mean the comic people who don't know about Dave Stevens?
I always figured the Bettie Page posts were because of Dave Stevens.

I hope Jessica has her rabies shot with the way he is frothing at the mouth
Marvel had Lee present a 20 page artist release to Kirby saying to get his artwork back, he would have to give up all the rights to anything he created for Marvel while working for them. Kirby, of course refused and that started a decades long battle over the characters.
Interestingly enough: The Silver Surfer graphic novel is what started the whole Kirby/Lee war. This novel reached Hollywood and a producer wanted to make a Silver Surfer movie and asked Marvel how much the rights were. Marvel legal looked into it and found Kirby never signed the rights away...
The problem is the kids will not get the joke.
🤣
I was lucky enough to buy one of Sal's pages back in '83. Sadly it got a bit damaged in a flood:
At least that per page now, if not more so

That has to be a pricey bit of artwork
or "How to launder my drug money when the cops are at the door"
Rather useless fact (or legend if you like): Ford shot this in B&W to cover the fact both Wayne and Stewart were too old for their part
I read somewhere that Isabella Rossellini's first day on the set was to film this scene.
Somebody blocked Jeff McDonald!!!
You know what would really suck
Somehow the inside tire on those duellies went flat.
While this film has issues, I think it is much better, story wise, than the recent remake.
So, what you are looking at is the ME character but had to be renamed due to copy right.
Then during the mid 70s, the 6 Marvel issues were reprinted under the name "Night Rider". Then someone reminded them what a night rider was and the character was renamed "Phantom Rider".
When Magazine Enterprises folded, the copy right for Ghost Rider lapsed and Dick Ayers convinced Stan Lee to let Ayers bring the name and the character over. 6 issues later the title was canceled and then remade into Johnny Blaze....
You did your part. Now time to give someone else some money!
Meanwhile at Stately Wayne Manor: Kick back and enjoy some sunshine. Have a tasty beverage and see some sites.
There is always time for the hunt later
I certainly will make you walk that plank!
Was going to ask him what he thought was the last Bronze age book was.
Then realized he wasn't talking #Comics
Can you just imagine the trouble Beast, Booster, Simon, and Blue Beetle would get into during a night on the town?
sign anything, no matter what amount at a con she was going to and not charge anything. That is her prerogative.
I also don't blame them for putting a limit on what they will sign. I have heard stories of people carting two wheelers in with boxes of stuff to get signed. That is absurd.
However, there are those creators who will sign anything at any time. Saw a post by Gail Simone saying she will....
Signing things take time from doing other stuff: drawing, writing, plotting, what have you. Things, that in time will put cash in their pocket. So, yes I have not problem with giving them money for their time.
Whether they do so, or what value they place on their time is up to them (cont)
(I don't watch comic vids. Nothing wrong with them, just me being old and cranky. so if I so if I say something that deals with stuff in the vid, you will have to forgive me)....
The simple economic standpoint is that a given creator is signing things, then they are working. (continued)
Fast and accurate. Gotta love that!
