The police did nothing. This needs to change.

I am also shocked by the lack of coverage of this fire. Itβs so far only affecting the Union Street buildings, but one of those has partially collapsed, from what I can tell backwards into the station. And itβs not yet contained. This is major and more than halfway down BBCβs homepage.
Iβm also really angry that the BBC didnβt start their live coverage until 9:55, this is a massive fire, visible all across one of the largest cities in the country, shutting off transport for over 2m people, not a side story!
I hope this leads to politicians taking urban planning in Glasgow seriously. You canβt separate the historic buildings disappearing from the hollowing out of high streets or the extortionate price of buses anymore

Today's ban on NHS HRT for under 18s formalises a policy that has already been in place - Noone under 18 has received a new prescription for HRT since mid 2024 (I don't know of any since late 2023).
Of course this policy also raises the risk of similar action on private healthcare for under 18s.
