Unfortunately I get the impression that indonesian artists are being targeted specifically because of the low minimum wage. Ofc anyone would struggle on such tight deadlines, but doing all that for what I would describe as slave wages is so incredibly sad, not to even mention the child labour

I thought the palworld case was a little blown out of proportion but holy shit nah, this game one for one stealing assets and changing maybe 5-10% of its traits, if even that.

The best monster taming and monster collector games are those that would still exist in an alternative reality where Pokemon never existed.

If you never gave any of these games a chance for being “too different from Pokémon”, then you are one of the reasons Pokémon is so dominant in this sub-genre.
