a four-panel sequence where sphene sits whistfully, eyes closed, drinking in the ballroom ambiance, but her comfort is quickly replaced with melancholy. a stray tear falls from her face. it is revealed that sphene is sitting in the dimly-lit backrooms, in her casual wear, listening to the ballroom music of her time on a pair of headphones. on the last panel, she gingerly wipes away the fallen tear.
