basically i smashed together a bunch of my current favorite artists’ styles to create this concoction, what do you think? and yes had to draw him holding his beloved cabbage obviously 🥬✨

this piece was actually just supposed to be kind of an experiment for the big project, i wanted to determine a style/direction for the project (and i was like “why not draw the cabbage guy” lol.)

sorry i‘ve posted only one other thing so far in all of 2026💀 but part of that is bc i’ve been working on a big project (hint it’s avatar the last airbender themed!!) and i didn’t want to post it until it was all done 😭 so keep an eye out for that coming soon!!

oh yeah also this piece is a study of a photo taken by dwayne young (cara.app/blacksheep886) a street photographer i found on cara!! i love studying dwayne’s photos they look so cinematic

also as an artist who uses way too many references, i love how kuro’s videos show their process of finding & using reference!

i followed along with kuro’s newest tutorial at the time (www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVyx...) and it was explained really well, i was mostly able to follow along even tho i can’t paint lol.

my old profile picture - this is a photo of my OC "Sam" aka "tacocrepe" using an older version of my palette FroggyOS. I am putting both my palms against each other while staring right at the audience with an expecting grin. I have noticably shorter & spikier hair, and younger features compared to my current profile picture.

my new profile picture (as of Jan 2026) - this is a photo of my OC "Sam" aka "tacocrepe" using the same palette called FroggyOS - but with an added lighter black tone for the hair. He has noticably longer and more flowy hair than my previous profile picture.
