Honestly depends on the deck for me. I personally dont think there is a hard and fast rule for how many lands you have to run but I definitely adjust my decks more than the average person.
That said if that say thats how many they would like to run don't push and just let it go.

To elaborate here that people saying “on paper” are also wrong. Just because it doesn’t have the check list items doesn’t mean it doesn’t have synergy. That’s IN the rules about brackets. People who bracket angle are in fact using the system incorrectly. Synergy defines your bracket as much as GC.
