Made some more movie covers to add variety
Added more detail to this #blender scene. I think the improvement-to-effort ratio is getting a lot lower now though...
There are a few details I want to add, and probably make more movie covers. I'm not sure if it's getting close to "good enough" though 😬
a 3d render of a bunch of forward facing stacks of movie cases placed in a 6x6 grid, like they might be placed in a video rental store. Each stack has a random number of copies between 0 and 5. Each copy in the stacks have a random side to side shift to give a more organic look.
Trying to get some randomization going. I have the number of copies in each stack randomized and each copy in a stack has a random side to side shift so they look more natural.
I also want more movie covers but that requires making a bunch more of them

I wanted to see if I could add myself to the blockbuster scene. Looks very "green screeny" but still pretty good for a first try.
I did the my rotation by just spinning on my heel.
pro tip, if you don't know about seams and marking seams in blender then UV unwrapping doesn't make any sense

I've been obsessively futzing around with blender motion tracking with no clear goal in mind. I think I've learned a bit and maybe it's given me more idea fodder. Kinda annoying to have my attention so consumed by it though

I used to use kdenlive for all my video editing. I only ended up switching because I needed chroma keying and it seemed to be a bit better in davinci.
Kdenlive is a great piece of software though, and there are parts of the UX I prefer over davinci.

I spent a bunch of time trying to make business cards. I think I have it all designed and aligned and stuff. I can just print a pdf double sided and cut them in my cricut
I don't have anyone to give business cards to though. They have my phone number on them, why would I give anyone that?

a nice thing I found about a column stagger was mapping a numpad to the right hand worked really well for me. I could never get used to layered numpads on staggered keyboards, like on some laptops.
I'm on a 34-key and let me tell you, it def increases mental load of typing for me. still fun though!
