Always fun to see this hashtag, so this is #WhatAGameDevLooksLike on my side. I've been doing marketing in the industry for on 17 years now. Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Marvel vs Capcom, RiME, Pokémon - you name it, I've done it*.
*Please only name the things I've already listed.

Close-up photo of a red wax seal with the initials AS, combined so that the S (which is also a snake) works at the crossbar of the A. This is within a wreath border.
Gave myself a little treat and had a custom wax seal stamp made, which is something I've been wanting to do for years.
Now I just need to make more proclamations so that I have a reason to use it.
I love that one of the files literally describes her as having main character syndrome. Those scientists don't get it.
Photo of a 500-count bag of communion bread.
Got snacks for my game night with the bois.
One thing that I feel Bluesky is worse at than (old) Twitter is straight-up seeing the topical headlines at a glance alongside posts. Today I've seen so many vague posts related to Dubai and Canada, but no specific headlines for me to contextualize them without relatively significant searching.
Screenshot of a YouTube thumbnail that says "Kia Niro EV Showdown: Wind [vs] Wave" and has some guy standing between two cars.
We've had colors, precious gemstones, letters, and celestial bodies, but now Pokémon is going where it always needed to: Kia Niro EV trim types.
I didn't know anything about them, and was wondering if the racism accusations were over some gaffe, so I looked it up and was like..."Yeah, yeah, that's pretty clear-cut."
Looks like they're no longer listed on the Kickstarter page.
It is absurd how bad using rideshare in LA is compared to Seattle.
The "happy for you" meme. A disgruntled looking child with the captions "Congrats. Happy for you. Nice."
Reading the royal arrest news coming out of the UK.
Photograph of a humble-yet-exciting sign on the side of the road. Written on it is "YAKS FOR SALE" and a phone number to call that's been blacked out so that you don't steal the yaks from under me.
Possibly the most tempting roadside sign I've ever seen.
It's a strong contender, though I don't think anything will ever top "I built a pizza oven for under $100 using an old crude oil barrel".
I have two favorite genres of Reddit posts:
1. r/RIY posts where a guy says "Look at this thing I built" and the response is "YOU'RE GOING TO KILL YOUR FAMILY!"
2. r/mildlyinteresting post where a guy says "Look what my body is doing" and the response is "GO TO THE HOSPITAL YOU IDIOT!"
"There was a sleeve here. It's gone now."
Me and who?
Ken, I think this may be the first time you didn't spell Jeopardy! correctly.
Macbeth: SHIT
With the Seahawks winning and the Bad Bunny concert being a bop, all we need is for It to happen and we have a wonderful trifecta.
@lacquerware.bsky.social - This is some clever stuff from the dictionary. You should look at it as inspiration.
My mom actual worked on the same house as Catherine O'Hara during Habitat for Humanity's Hollywood women's build back in the very early 2000s, and every day she'd come home and mention how cool and down-to-Earth she was. RIP to a great one.
I always thought that this guy was a hooded wizard, but it turns out he just has the most luxurious hair.
I don't think I've ever seen another driver be more mad at me than today when I refused to let them skip their turn in the zipper merge. Like, full on road rage.
But I am at peace, because I abided by the zipper merge. The zipper merge is sacred.
I used to say I'd be happy to ghostwrite for big accounts just to see my posts get love, lol.
Screenshot of news article headline. There is a photo of some guy at a podium, and the headline says "Doctor Who treated Dick Cheney".
Man, these later seasons were really struggling for ideas.
I don't know what's crazier, the fact that the health insurance customer support rep I was talking with implied my son's autism was caused by vaccines, or the fact that she apparently could not think of the word "vaccines" on her own.
Here's the thing: I still go back and watch scenes from the early seasons on a few of those shows (GoT and Westworld, for example), and they still 100% hold up as excellent. The bad later seasons can never take from that.
(I felt the same about the Mass Effect 3 ending. It's one tree in a forest.)
Photo of one of my dogs, looking very tired.
How I'm feeling finishing out 2025.
