Second vote for Ghost here. It depends on how you scale (so other players like Buttondown and Beehiiv are worth looking into) but I am a Substack migrant from a year and a half ago and Ghost has been good to me. And they're transparent: ghost.org/about/

Zoro Fights 100 Baroque Works Agents | ONE PIECE: Season 2 | Netflix
YouTube video by Still Watching Netflix
(2026-70/365) Apparently, Mackenyu Maeda, who plays Zoro on the live action One Piece, insisted he wanted to actually fight 100 agents because he knew anime fans would be counting for accuracy to the anime scene. He was right, but this is still impressive. #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDIj...

It's not worth it. I gave up commenting on Reddit threads for Lent, and it's quickly made me realize that there are people who want to boastfully be as ignorant as possible yet believe they are 100% right, and it's better to spend the energy elsewhere.

EPIC BAT FLIP π± Fernando Tatis Jr. drills a three-run home run for Team Dominican Republic in style!
YouTube video by MLB
(2026-69/365) The World Baseball Classic is going on right now and if you're any kind of baseball fan, you should tune in. But even if you're not, there are some great clips of pure joy out there, like pretty much every Dominican Republic home run. #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2p8...

The electrician retired this year and he got a standing ovation when he came out the last time.
The WBC is full of these kinds of stories and of country pride in one's teams (Chinese Taipei beat Korea for the first time ever for example) and it's why I enjoy it a lot.

Young taekwondo student embraces coach after emotional board break
YouTube video by Humankind
(2026-67/365) This is a simple moment of success when you look at it at first, but I also think it's a testament to someone being a good and patient teacher, and a student who trusts them and gets courage to try again. That matters. #blueskies www.youtube.com/shorts/tDP5Q...

By the way, Chinese Taipei has a really, really slim chance of moving on. They need Korea to win against Australia but by such a huge score differential (or by Australia not scoring many runs at all) to do it. The formula is pretty darned complicated but none of the AI tools I asked made it simple.

The point of this small experiment is that part of the peril of AI tool usage is accepting its answers at face value. You shouldn't. If you use them at all, you should double check sources, go to them directly, and ask questions, and use traditional methods if they can't self-correct properly.

The results:
-Grok improperly thought Chinese Taipei was favored through tiebreakers
-Claude admitted it didn't want to mislead me after 3 attempts to correct it
-ChatGPT used the wrong tiebreaker rules
-Lumo straight up told me to go to the sources and that it could only do best effort with them.

WBC tiebreakers, scenarios: How teams can advance to quarterfinals
What needs to happen for the teams battling in the World Baseball Classic to make it out of pool play? We break it down for you.
Like others, I've been asked to work with AI tools to discern their value. I knew the answer to this (by non-AI-assisted searching) but I asked several AI tools what scenarios it would take for Chinese Taipei to advance in the 2026 WBC.

Woman Went for A Bike Ride β And Her Life Was Forever Changed | The Dodo
YouTube video by The Dodo
(2026-65/365) I know I wouldn't have the means to take care of this many dogs, but for those that do and can it's a great ggesture of kindness when they're abandoned. I'm glad Andrea is able to have the means to keep giving these dogs the care they deserve. #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc1z...

Thanks! It's wild to me that they've been around for 4 years, peaked in year 2 for a bit, and then had to do a strange company swap and keep themselves afloat while other groups of their popularity dropped like flies around them. I just hope it continues.

H1-KEY's Music Is The Underrated K-Pop Comfy Hug Of The Industry
H1-KEY's upbeat, yet grounded message in their music is perhaps just the dose of comfort K-Pop fans need to deal with a sometimes difficult world.
It wasn't enough to include #kpop group H1-KEY in today's #blueskies - I had to write an entire article about them.
It's been tough for me the past year, and their music has helped keep my feet on the ground & remember to grab happiness where I can. Check out why. thelowkeygeek.com/h1-keys-musi...

H1-KEY (νμ΄ν€) - λμ 첫μ¬λμκ² (To. My First Love) MV
YouTube video by Stone Music Entertainment
(2026-63/365) H1-KEY is perhaps one of the most underrated groups in #kpop right now. Their pop-rock style, anime opening-like tracks, and theme of prioritizing happiness/treasuring memories is just what I need right now. New album out today! #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZsl...

Beloved Tennessee shelter dog Scrappy finally finds her forever home after 803 days
The nearly 3-year-old German Shepherd mix marked her 800th day in the Tennessee shelter with a trip to the vet to treat a toe injury
(2026-62/365) Stories about pets finding their forever homes are somewhat common, but honestly, I never tire of reading about them, especially when they show up after as long as this energetic dog has spent in a shelter. #blueskies www.the-independent.com/life-style/t...

One of the reasons I find joy in these little community tools when they come out, besides the obvious, is the possibly hidden glee the developers have at something hilariously unhinged coming out of its use.
To wit: many of the examples interacting with this post.

Basketball team surprises Lithuanian player by flying her mom to U.S.
YouTube video by Humankind
(2026-59/365) I never played organized sports myself, but I've been on lots of teams, and know the importance of having loved ones around to cheer you on. This was an awesome gesture by the Clemson women's team for their teammate with a mom far away. #blueskies www.youtube.com/shorts/R1isO...
