I do enjoy this stage of a project (in this case for Hipkiss Publishing House´s edition of @angelaslatter.bsky.social ’s PATH OF THORNS) — sketching through a manuscript, combing scattered details into little diagrams I can use for illustration reference later.

Saw The Bride. Brilliant. Ambitious and angry and uncomfortable. A perfect example of reach exceeding grasp - imperfect but something new and different and insane. A birth, a Frankenstein kind of birth, screaming all the way. An absolutely disobedient geometry. Loved it.
