Picture shows augmented image of Keir Starmer holding a folder which reads: TOP SECRET. Labourβs plan to undermine the Scottish Parliament. βEven when devolved governments may oppose this.β
So much for Labourβs promises to respect the Scottish Parliament.
Only the SNP will always stand up for Scotland and protect our Parliament.

Among those allegations was that #Epstein took photos of her posing nude and tried to extort her mother to keep the images secret. Her mother couldn't afford what was demanded by Epstein, the allegations said, and she stole $22,000 from her real estate firm

Scotland has the lowest child poverty rate in the UK, and 90,000 fewer children live in poverty thanks to our policies.
But decisions at Westminster have too often held us back.
I want to fully eradicate child poverty, and Scotland should have the full powers to do it.
Auditor for collapsed Β£2bn shadow bank had just two employees.
Yet authorised to conduct audits.
No transparency about the conduct of audit.
At BHS, PwC partner was budgeted to spend two hours on audit, 31 hours on consultancy. Collapse exposed botched audits.
No reforms.

I am so tired of this classless, clueless embarrassment of a president.
Screenshot of an X post by journalist John Harwood responding βmy god he is sickβ to a post by Adam Schwarz quoting Pete Hegseth. The quoted post says Hegseth, when asked about Russia helping Iran target Americans, replied that they are not concerned and that the only people who should worry are Iranians who think they are going to live. Below is a video still from a β60 Minutesβ interview showing Hegseth speaking.
We got rid of Kristi. Let's get rid of Pete.
"... and [Elon] was very effective. He knows those computers better than anyone. All those computers, those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania in a landslide... So thank you to Elon."

Amos Goldberg, Professor of Genocide Studies at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem "Yes, it is genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion. Jewish history will henceforth be stained"
Is there anyone more qualified and unbiased?
There are a lot of posts out there with the close-up visual of Markwayne Mullin on January 6, but this is a better perspective.
Heβs not protecting others; heβs protecting himself and hiding. You can see plenty of people at the entry door, ready to take on the insurrectionists, but not Markwayne.

AOC: βThatβs one reason he must be removed from office - if the Epstein files have such a hold on Trump & this admin that they are willing to plunge us & risk world war in order to save themselves politically - that is the definition of someone who cant make objective decisions for the American pplβ
We've just learned that the person at the MHRA whose letter caused Wes 'I follow the clinical evidence' Streeting to cancel the puberty blockers trial is Professor Jacob George, the GC who enjoyed mocking trans people on his social media account.
Why did Wes Streeting cover up his name?
Wes Streeting states the SNP are refusing to use the Palintir App in the Scottish NHS for 'Nationalist reasons'
Here are the reasons the UK Government health Minister refers to as 'Nationalist' and it's a revelation of his thinking.

Holy shit. Itβs time to subpoena Trump! π‘
I can see where this is coming from, but there was in fact once an internet that wasn't just six monopoly companies herding you to shout at each other for clout. There was a time when google search took you to pages built by real people pursuing their real, personal interests. That happened.
"Make people dependent enough, and then make it shitty"
Still giggling at this hilarious video from the Norwegian Consumer Council "A Day in the Life of an Ensh*ttificator" which seems a perfect embodiment of Silicon Valley and tech generally these days

MPsβ basic salary to rise to Β£110,000 by end of parliament, watchdog says.
This should be accompanied by a total ban on second jobs, which in most cases is a corporate bribe. Must end all conflict of interests.
Being a MP is a full time job. MPs must act exclusively as MPs.
This guy gets invited onto all sorts of media outlets as an insightful commentator and is involved in a professionally produced podcast.
I mean, seriously.

Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey:
"Tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott and washed up old footballers who mock ordinary people who stay in the UK and pay our taxes... As we protect them, it's only right for tax exiles to start paying taxes to fund our armed forces, just like the rest of us".
A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nationβs people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.
We mustnβt let this war do so.

Trump has nearly secured his position as dictator.
He openly ignores courts and Congress.
He has a massive state propaganda network.
He has his own private army.
He has a controlled opposition party.
Intelligence and military have shown little pushback.
And he is working on elections.

"we are working to line the pockets of billionaires. We are being bled dry. And I don't think it's extreme or radical to think that hard work should get you a nice life. We have shown we don't have to accept being turned against each other at all."

Thought for the day:
We British taxpayers must protect all the tax exile UK citizens who are living in the Middle East because they don't want to pay UK taxes & contribute to the UK armed services, foreign embassy & consulate services or any other UK services which they've all benefited from.
This is not only a gross violation of privacy that the vast majority of politicians are not subjected to.
It's a warning to anyone on the left that if they publicly take a stand, the media will come after everyone close to them.
Very clear that for Starmer, 'sectarian voting' is when British Muslims don't vote Labour, and for many others, it is just when British Muslims vote.
