For those who don't know, our apartment has flooded over five times between 02/09 and today and the property owners are doing absolutely nothing to fix it. By this point we're worried about mold and damage, and the health of our cats. We need to leave as soon as we can, before it gets worse.

I feel so tired, like I threw out all my energy with the kitchen sink water while I was tending to the flooding. I have so much to get done, I can't feel like this right now...
Came home to the sink flooding the kitchen again... Still no idea when it'll be fixed. The damage is too expensive for us to handle on our own so we're at the mercy of the property owners, who continue to evade us & give no answers. By this point I'm just assuming I have no kitchen until I move out.

This book has been an important lesson in deadlines, realistic expectations, and my inability yo predict how long I think a story will actually be. I'm going to approach a lot of things differently when I move on to my next project.
The BYMMS release has not worked out the way I planned. It was supposed to be published by the end of August and, well. As you can see, it's not published yet. But I'm still working on it, and I still plan to get it out there. So I guess I'm "bouncing back" by just continuing to move forward.

Last week I decided to switch from Campfire back to Scrivener, and the hardest part of the change from one to the other hasn't been anything to do with the program, it's remembering my USB with all my files. 😵💫
Funnily enough I haven't gotten to play it yet due to being too busy with other stuff, but my spouse has been loving Pokopia and playing it all the time so still worth it to me.
I was going to do the same, but ended up buying it last week as a treat for having endured this nightmare going on with my apartment and the property owners. We needed some kind of joy to counterbalance it all. 😵💫
The BYMMS edits and revisions continue. My goal is to finish writing the new ch.6 and edit as many chapters as I can this week. Perhaps also post ch.3 to Patreon? We'll see on that one.
Also finish prepping and formatting a little secret project. 🤭

Literal gamechanger. I'd already switched to Ellipsus for sharing my docs with crit partners & betas but the md export did make it clunky to actually get my work on there, & recently all my md files would lose their formatting once imported. Docx retains its formatting and eliminates 2 full steps!
I may or may not have toyed with mocking up a cover for said poetry collection......

I've been building a poetry collection for a couple years and I keep holding onto the idea I might tradpub it since several poems from it were published in magazines before, but part of my is also like... why? I don't tradpub anything else, soooo. I'll have to give this some thought.
