Today is the first day of LGBT History Month
LGBT+ people have always been part of our societies, but often their stories are hidden and go untold.
This month is an opportunity to celebrate those stories and continue to campaign for progress.

We believe our proposals evidenceโbased concerns, and positive recommendations deserve serious consideration by both Medway Council and the Planning Inspectorate as the plan moves forward to Examination in Public.

We welcome the development of Deangate Community Parkland. Medway Liberal Democrats first proposed this greenspace in our response to the first round of HIF in April 2021, and have continued to advocate for its development at every local plan consultation ๐ณ

Troubling increase in Glyphosate use uncovered in Medway
Following a recent FOI, we've formally written to the Councilโs portfolio holder to seek clarity. We're pressing for answers and a clear strategy to bring an end to dependence on glyphosate.

@eddavey.libdems.org.uk on the passing of Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent.
Great day to deliver #LibDemFocus on St Mary's Island. River pollution is a big topic on the island with lots of businesses and residents affected.
Sewage in our waterways is a disgusting sign of a broken system.
Todayโs report backs what weโve always said: we need to scrap and replace Ofwat and finally hold these water companies to account.
What a stink that subsequent governments have failed to regulate Water Companies!
No way Southern Water should be allowed to double CEO pay!
It's time that the Government takes up the Liberal Democrats plan for a new clean water regulator with teeth!
Southern Water should not be allowed to double CEO pay. Appalling that previous governments have failed to regulate Water Companies properly.

While talking to residents, Onyx is hearing that residents have missed having Liberal Democrats as their ward councillor. Gillingham South has been represented only by Liberal Democrats and Labour since 1996. The only way to beat Labour here is to vote for Onyx on February 6th.
Onyx is campaigning for improvements to Gillingham High Street, which has been sorely neglected under both Tory and Labour administrations in Medway.
@OnyxRist is standing as the Medway Liberal Democrat candidate for Gillingham South.
Onyx grew up and has lived in Gillingham. He continues to visit frequently and has connections in the area. He wants to bring pride and wealth back to the town.

Good days campaigning in Bicester East today, lots discussed on the doorstep, things that came up -
- more bike parking wanted
- 20 MPH zones favourable
- zebra crossing connecting Glory Farm with the Launton Road retail park needed
This is really poor from the BBC.
After Storm Darragh scuppered my plans last weekend to visit Thornbury for Small Business Saturday, I was able to drop in this morning. Thank you to Jean Owen at T&J Owen Florists and Karen Schwamm at Castle Craft Gifts for taking time to chat to me.

This is dreadful. It's unbelievable that someone becomes a carer to exploit the benefit system.
This is bureaucratic abuse - covering up for its own failings, by taking on those who by their very nature as carers, don't have the facility to fight back.
