the box of the LEGO Gameboy (72046) set. around the time I took this picture it was yet to be opened
the same LEGO Gameboy set but put together! there's a brick-built cartridge of "Super Mario Land" and "The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening" along with the Gameboy (on it's display) and a display for one of the cartridges with a slot for the extra screens that could be put into the Gameboy itself.
the insides of the brick-built "Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening" cartridge. it seems to try and replicate the board of the cartridge, all the way down to the chips and battery
went out with some friends on Saturday and managed to pick this up, pretty fun build! I really like how the insides of the set are recreations of the internals even down to giving one of the cartridges a flat round tile that looks like CR1616 battery LOL

(she/they/it) the left sketch is Popzel with their neutral emotion. right next to that sketch is an arrow pointing toward the same sketch, but they look rather happy in this one. the blush on their cheeks glow and their little bell ear-rings jingle. their round pupils are now arrows to further emphasize their joy!

Dynamite Headdy served as inspiration for Popzel too!! I'd like to imagine she lives in a toy world akin to what's seen in that game and I'd love to build on that at some point
other places I could think of that either resonated with me or I thought were really cool are Lethal League's Underground Sewer System and Stage 2-1 from Dynamite Headdy, that area's song comes to mind any time I think about the game LOL
this is mostly because I've been revisiting the game but Reclaimed Earth from DOOM Eternal's DLC has been something I really love in terms of design and setting (and also the music is very fun)
i'll buy a backlight kit for it later but i'm so happy i found this LOL i've been using a 1st gen DS for playing GBA games and that thing feels. rlly brittle in my hands
