I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing my second cold in less than four weeks. I really don't want to have to call in sick to work again, but I don't know why else I would feel this way.

What's the best smart scale these days?
The doctor called me back in to discuss some correspondence presumably in response to the referral he gave me. Really hoping I'm not paying $135 just to verify he responded to an email about a referral he already gave me.
Start of Australian GP is some exciting shit! #F1
I woke up at 7:30 AM on a Saturday. Please clap.
I canβt imagine 32 GB of RAM not being plenty. I think what is going to push me to the pro is the better display.
Thinking of getting a MacBook Air instead of a pro. If all I'm doing is Logic and some coding, I don't know that I'm seeing much benefit.
I solved this by installing Kaleidoscope, but how does FileMerge not have syntax highlighting for Swift?
These Australian (British-style?) savory pies are pretty good. A little hot sauce, however, makes them great. I'm sure someone will be offended by that π
My average step count has more than doubled since moving to Australia. It's nothing to do with Australia β Hobart doesn't beat Portland in transit or walkability β so much as not having a car. I'm going to try and avoid buying one as long as possible.
Still weird seeing Kmart around. From what I can tell, they've been totally separate from the US brand, which closed their last full sized store a couple years ago, for a while. The store I've been to is basically like a worse Target (in the US), but not terrible.
Some photos around Hobart Tasmania. It's really beautiful here.
I've been in Australia for more than two weeks, and am yet to see a marsupial of any kind π₯Ί What's strange that I just noticed is that I haven't really seen any non-bird animals since there are also no squirrels or things here.
For anyone curious, I made it to Hobart. I got my cell plan and bank account set up in Australia and had a good first two days of work at Procreate, before realizing I had a cold and staying home today so I wouldnβt get anyone else sick.
I have made it through all the checkpoints and am in Australia π¦πΊ Just waiting for my connection to Hobart.
Made it onto the plane for Brisbane and I'm already hearing so many extraneous vowels. They had to call my name to make sure I made it and were on the intercom like Mr Caurlin Daurnell.
No WiFi on my 14 hour Qantas flight. Fuuuck.
Traded my car back in! Weird to not have a vehicle.
This is the first time I think I've ever significantly reduced the amount of things I have, and it still feels like too much.
Yeah. Pretty much the same. I donβt think Iβve ever played a Taylor guitar that I liked it all.
Theyβre expensive, but so is every other guitar of that quality. Iβd probably be happy with a Martin or Guild if I had to. Donβt like Taylor.
If I wanted anything else, maybe a 12 string Gibson Hummingbird and an electric with humbuckers. It's funny for how much I like Gibson acoustic guitars, the electric ones don't really do that much for me. No reason. I just don't find myself wanting them. #Guitar
If I had no sentimental attachment to any of my guitars, I could narrow it down from the current number to about four or five. For acoustic, my Gibson J-45 and L-00. For electric, my Rickenbacker 360 and Fender Telecaster. I'd still want a beater acoustic, but I barely count that. #Guitar
Interesting. I know Taylor Swift can play guitar, but looking at album credits, she doesn't play guitar on her albums at all. Makes sense. She's probably at OK at guitar, but it's easier in the studio to have someone else knock it out in a take or two. Wish I could do that!
My dog Link is the best alarm clock.

I've never locked a guitar case before, because I could never think of a reason you would until now. If it's locked and someone snatches it, they won't be able to get rid of the AirTag I put in the case until after they get it home and bust the lock open.
What are the macOS native task management apps people like these days? Is it still Things and OmniFocus?
What I really wish you could do in Reminders is "complete" a list. Lists in Reminders are great for areas of your life you'd like to add one off tasks to, but projects that will end at some point aren't as well supported. Still a good app!
