This is hilarious.
Also, completely enraging.
Trailer for season 2 Deadloch features this great cast, a Hemsworth, a shirt with a hammerhead shark on it, multiple crocs, angry tour guides; they have ticked every single box, no notes 🐊🙌🏻 March 20 cannot come soon enough youtu.be/bEu3XAz0otY?...
this made me cackle all the way through

Optical illusion of a woman bent over some papers. Her sunglasses are pushed up and she is wearing a hair band so the top of her head looks exactly like a Muppet face
Sorry I know the world is in a terrible fix but I've been laughing at this for ten minutes now
really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.
As someone who experiences physical trauma whenever I hear that man's voice, this is brilliant, and just hearing a non-insane person speak the words that are coming out of his mouth really does highlight how completely fucking melted his brain is.
Isn't his name literally ROBin because he robs from the rich and gives to the poor? The whole "Marxist" angle seems pretty essential to the character. Also, PP wouldn't know a Marxist if one kicked him in the arse.🙄
This is so good
And the fact that it's a PSA...
Aww, Hippo!❤️
This is one of the best things I've seen in a while.
Mark Carney, Canada's banker-PM, Davos-darling, supports Israel and the US unlawfully attacking Iran, murdering civilians, and committing war crimes.
We need more high profile Canadians, particularly those from Carney's own party calling out his hypocrisy.
Blame weakness, cowardice, inexperience, foolishness, evil, whatever--We did not elect him to make us complicit in war crimes or to condone Trump's megalomania.
"The double standard is obvious: when Russia uses force without lawful grounds, it is condemned as an outlaw; when the U.S. does something legally analogous, we kowtow in an effort to curry favour."
The whole article hits the bullseye.
Agreed. A must read.
"We invoke international law and the “rules based international order” when adversaries engage in unlawful actions, but abandon those same rules entirely when it’s the Americans — whose current government 60 per cent of Canadians now see as a threat — doing the bombing."
High pain & exhaustion day for me, compounded by disgust & frustration over the state of the world and leaders who are either greedy, war-mongering monsters or gutless, complacent cowards.
Going to crawl out of bed now and try to make myself semi-presentable, take meds, and eat something.
There should be an Earth for people who don't hate all living things
To this I'd add that Carney isn't just responding to Trump; he's showing the next US president -- Democratic or Republican -- that Canada, or at least Carney's Canada, has no red lines, no principles worth defending, and no guts for a real fight if push comes to shove (and it will).
1/ The images coming out of Iran are already unbearable. Reports of an elementary school struck by missiles, killing dozens of people, with scores more killed around the country. Fear and chaos in the streets as families run through smoke and search for safety.
Israel can slaughter as many children as it wants and politicians like Mark Carney are not only fine with it, they keep putting out statements of support.
I truly loathe this man. He believes in nothing.
Several points:
1) Iran's regime is odious. Its citizens deserve support.
2) That does not mean an attack will help.
3) Canada will find it hard to be so selective in its support for international law.
4) Canada does not benefit from a US administration unbound by the US constitution.

I didn't and only realized I'd missed something after reading reviews.🐝🌸

The more that comes out about this situation, the more it's obvious the intentional harm was on the part of the BBC/BAFTAs. At best they poorly accommodated Davidson's disability and at worst they exploited it to the detriment of everyone involved.
I don't want to wade into the discourse, but I'll say that I do believe disabled people are responsible for apologizing when we harm others, even if we didn't mean to. We want to be treated with humanity and respect, and we should extend the same to others to the best of our ability.
I think this bit is also important: "Variety reported that Davidson has contacted Sinners’ studio Warner Bros to personally apologise to Jordan, Lindo and the production designer Hannah Beachler..."
What kind of gross response is this? Your bio says you're "passionate about community." Guess that community doesn't include anybody disabled or with mental health struggles.
