Ha, good catch - there’s plenty of flatfooted ways to describe “things with scholarly identifiers”. They do indeed cover datasets, images, or in this case, articles on nature News. We need a better term!
Oh yes, what I meant by that was that the Twitterati love to claim Bluesky and other places are infested with the woke mind virus. But as the article’s sharing demonstrates, there’s robust discussion over there too!
Congrats! The Germans call that "Glück im Unglück". "Lucky side-effect of being unlucky."
So yeah, the trend is still, there, but twitter appears to be on the up, volume-wise. That doesn't speak to the quality of the communication on there.
Bluesky share is about 67% off Twitter's. Still massive for its young years and size.
We'll keep watch as the year progresses.

Since we have 2 months of 2026 data now, we can see if the trend we saw last year holds up: does research from the current year get shared more on Bluesky or X-Twitter?
As you can see here, we still see days regularly where Bluesky's volume of research sharing is markedly higher than Twitter.
