First post of 2026! One of my resolutions is to post more frequently here in the coming year. This is a quick view of some things I painted in 2025.

The Independent Characters podcast annual Hobby Progress Challenge is once again upon us.
Last year I made quite a lot of progress on my Sororitas army by completing a unit each month. This time around I will be building the 536th Skyborne Gravediggers as a Crusade force.

Finally got my Trench Pilgrim warband going. The Monialis from the Sacred Costalera (previewed at Adepticon) is taking the role of my War Prophet along with two Progressors (Pilgrims) with flame throwers. A Pilgrim with a bolt action rifle, a submachine gun, and a couple of Ecclesiastic Prisoners.
Since I missed the deadline for the HPC March entry due to prepping for Adepticon, I figured I would just carry that forward and wrap it up for April. The last bit of models I needed to round out my Blades of Khaine Kill Team. I'm hoping they get to see some action against the filthy Mon'keigh soon!
Adorned with habits of tattered flowing robes and coarse fabrics, the Sacred Costalera are unlike any nuns the world has seen. They are drawn to wearing the Ironcrown Thorns or the Martyr’s veil, giving them miraculous sight under darkened skies to deliver their cleansing fire.

Thanks! This was sculpted for the Warmachine game, so I think their models are around 1/48th scale or somewhere in the range of 32mm tall.
Got this Wraithlord wrapped up for the Hobby Progress Challenge for February. It was a pretty good way to test out some new ideas for a Biel-Tan scheme. Onward to Dire Avengers next.
Th orcs on raptors are some of th best sculpts ever.
Yup. As a mildly neglected only child I had access to HBO, Heavy Metal magazine, Playboy, and lots of sci-fi novels in middle school. I realized at the time that this was privileged intel and treated it with discretion.

Aeldari Wraithlord is assembled. The pose of the stock kit was a bit stiff, so I decided to do something a little more dynamic. All it took was modifying one knee. Hadn’t used greenstuff in a while. The weapons will be painted separately and attached after painting.

The Druid Gone Wilder is probably my favorite sculpt I did for Privateer Press back around 2012. This was one of their promotional minis only available during conventions. Here is a small glimpse of the sculpting process I used.

My next character for the MCDM game is the Devil's Notary, Mixlax. He seem to be a crafty little character. The art has awesome detail for his costume. So far I've had a lot of fun building the various props.
