We need a left back, Robertson is our best option and he’s starting to decline. Trent on the ball yesterday was good but looked like he couldn’t be bothered tracking back. For the first time in now concerned he may not sign a new deal, been confident of him signing up until yesterday

The quality of chances he gets and the fact that I would not trust him with an important chance to score in a critical game. I want him to succeed but I would be surprised if he was first choice when everyone is fit and next season I think he will be further down the pecking order
Personally don’t think his output is fine but football is about opinions. Can’t fault his movement or workrate maybe that’s why I find him so frustrating because he could be phenomenal I just can’t see him getting there

Could see Nunez being a rotation option for Szoboszlai but he’s not got the output to be first choice for us. However the fact that he is constantly available makes him less disposable than Jota, all around Jota is the better option except that you cannot rely on his availability

Read an interesting article earlier about the links to Cherki and Marmoush could be with a view to use Szoboszlai as an 8 which then gives the option of rotating Mac with Grav at times, it would give plenty of flexibility and especially as you would hope szob would be getting more goal involvements
Makes me think the links to a forward are genuine. Unfortunately he can’t be relied on, a bit like Sturridge where the ability is clear but you know you can’t plan to have him available for more than 60% of the time which makes building a team with him in it very difficult.
If Jota and Chiesa can’t get up to fitness levels then he may need to stay, that’s assuming we don’t buy anyone obviously
