It is very cool that he's still around — and, mentally, about as sharp as they come at his age! — yet I can't help but be a little resentful that we're not blood-related, so I didn't get any of those longevity genes of his.

I used it about 90 minutes ago on a never-archived Medium.com post and it worked fine.

(I then discovered the post I wanted to read was only 300 words long, and ended about three sentences after the paywall, but that’s another story entirely.)

This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.

This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.

I hate losing an hour of sleep as much as the next human — but every year, on the first Sunday of Daylight Time, when the sun starts setting and I look at the clock to see it's almost 7pm...

I have had to customize my browser so I can click on elements to nuke them from page display just so I can navigate the atrocity that most of the web has become in 2026.

Even with an ad blocker to minimize the intrusion of content-blocking pop-ups, I find sites that are infested with disguised ads, trick banners, fake “x” buttons and page jank.

I always click through to sources on my web searches, usually to try and find a chunk of text I can copy/paste into my research notes on my local drive. I would say that nine sites out of ten are borderline unreadable these days.

I have sympathy for these media companies, and I am *NO* fan of how AI has changed the world.

But at the same time, I can’t help but cringe almost every time I visit many of these “online media sources.”
