Combining 10 apartments into a mansion for one extremely rich family? By-right process, no subsidized housing requirement, and a tax break.

The level of ambition here is really sad. It's such a big site so close to transit. I mocked up a plan in 15 minutes just to illustrate how much space we're talking about. There's even still space in the rear for a large surface lot or parking structure. TJ's footprint is the same.

We need to be screaming from the rooftops: this is what gentrification, what displacement, what commodification of culture, is.

based on rents skyrocketing, income requirements, and virtually no new added housing, I don’t see Lakeview being gay in the future. It doesn’t work. If I get a professional architecture office job, on paper I still would not make enough money for these places. Infuriating.
