Annoyingly the place i was originally gonna post from screwed up this thumbnail idk why. Anyway have a screenshot of pluto. I played a couple more games but this list was the stuff I’m definitely gonna be checking out in the future.
Hark the Ghoul - Retro-styled first person action dungeon crawling. Reminiscent of games like king’s field, arx fatalis, or more recently lunacid. This is also one of the only games i’ve played that incorporates the fuckin dark messiah of might and magic KICK ATTACK. Kick that fool off a cliff!
DAMON and BABY - this game got kinda clowned on by some fighting game fans for being hyped up by arc system works, but I actually quite liked it! You don’t get a lot of these isometric action-adventure games anymore. I enjoyed exploring its first level and the weird sense of humor got me. Fun time!
Denshattack! - Holy shit what a cool game. Fast paced “on rails” platformer where you have to hop around between rails to avoid obstacles. All the while make sure you’re doing sick kickflips with your train. Cus you play as a train! So cool, and seems like a real challenge to perfect your scores.
Ardenfall - I’ve seen this demo before but first time trying it. Absurdly impressive creation right off the bat. It’s basically a whole-ass elder scrolls game developed by a small team. Fun combat, interesting world, lovely art style, a full package. Was kinda shocked at how polished this seemed.
Vampire Crawlers is another well-done roguelite with just as much 'juice' as its prequel, only this time as a dungeon-crawling card game. I didn't feel as much deck-building strategy out of this as some others, but that may improve with the full game as you unlock more options. Gonna check it out!
Everything is Crab - Addicting arcade-y 'roguelite' game kinda like vampire survivors, but all about evolving different animal traits. Has different paths for herbivores vs carnivores, different traits for different environments. Very fun if you liked games like Spore or EVO: Search for Eden!
