My view is that when someone who has very likely committed war crimes of a particular kind sounds like heβs stating an intention to commit further war crimes of that same kind, we should believe him

Yes .. and they hope to make certain groups of people so marginalized and unhiman they can never ever challenge that again .
I said it in like 2005 and I'll say it again: Islamophobia is a kind of racism because bigots don't know anything about anything
An infographic titled "president Trump is reshaping the media", reposted from his truth social account.
Donald Trump is now just openly bragging about interfering in the media. He's the president. He's running a truck over the first amendment here.
In a way, yes, Fascists love it when people think they're evil but they hate it when people think they're stupid clowns.
They blew up USAid and doomed millions to an agonizing death but a video of them being an idiot on camera is causing reputational damage
Guys! GUYS! NAZI HUNTING ROCKABILLY STREET GANGS OF 80s PARIS!
Even *pirates* generally offered fair quarter--this is in fact what the black flag signified (a red flag meant no quarter).
Christians really want someone to be in charge of Judaism, for some reason.
The way that yβall ignore Christian Zionists and let them off the hook has me in a low simmering rage at all times that never goes away. And every single time someone says the word Zionists I KNOW yβall are just talking about Jews.
So many of my Jewish friends in urban areas tell me that they need security at their synagogues because of the constant undercurrent of threats and violence, most of which never make it to the news. You should not need a security guard to go to your place of worship.
fun fact: the department of homeland security added restrictions last year to its nonprofit security grants program that help synagogues and other jewish institutions hire security that effectively makes it so that liberal jewish organizations can't qualify
Fuck all the way off with this. The student protesters were physically attacked -- some of them maimed permanently with life-altering injuries -- and relentlessly persecuted, doxxed, and hounded by school administrators, local police, and federal authorities while their attackers remain untouched.
Abbas Alawieh @abbasformi No one ever deserves to feel unsafe or threatened in their house of worship. Todayβs violence against Temple Israel, its congregants, and the West Bloomfield Jewish community is horrifying. We must stand in unequivocal defense of the humanity and safety of our Jewish siblings and denounce this heinous act. My family and I are praying for safety for communities across our state who are feeling afraid right now, and we are holding our Jewish community members extra close.

the basic problem with marx as filtered through the american consciousness is that americans are fatally poisoned by jeffersonianism so everything gets read through the lens of whether it makes it easier or harder to be a yeoman smallholder
Yes, it is important to not conflate criticism of Israel with antisemitism. However, you are replying to a post about someone ramming a synagogue full of children at daycare with their car, driving into the building and then getting out of the car with a gun. That was not βcriticism of Israelβ.
Discourse around antisemitism among non-Jews right now is basically "it isn't a real problem, and any evidence or incident suggesting otherwise is fake or misleading, but IF it's real, it was deserved or justifiable." I just don't even know what can be done to combat this.
Something I've been trying to do lately is formulate my principles and beliefs in positive rather than negative terms - "I believe X" rather than "I'm not like those fucking guys" - and it's been a useful and (I think) healthy little reorientation
β’ The vehicle is registered to a man in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, who was originally from Lebanon, law enforcement sources told CNN. Authorities are investigating reports that the man told people that he had family members who were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon in recent days, those officials said.
It is horrific what happened to this manβs family. But some Jewish American children worshipping at a synagogue in Michigan are not fucking responsible. This is another case of blaming all Jews for the actions of Israel. This is why we constantly beg you not to do that.

When Israel says their violence is done to protect all Jews and make the world safer for us, we can only look at incidents like this and see that is obviously not true. Theyβre making it more dangerous for us EVERYWHERE.
This guy is angry at the anti-Zionist Jewish leader of the UK Green Party, despite his vocal criticism of Israelβs genocide in Gaza, because apparently expressing sympathy for a Jewish synagogue attacked in Michigan is complicity in βfalse flag attacks by the Epstein Classβ. π
This guy replied to Jamie Raskinβs post about the Michigan synagogue attack by claiming that the attack was βfalse flag propagandaβ conducted by AIPAC or the ADL, but accompanied his post with a meme declaring βThe Jew will always tell you what happened to him, but heβll never tell you why.β

We need reparations for ICE victims.
Anything short of that is setting the stage for a massive wealth grab from people of color that will re-entrench racial disparities for generations.

right now, showing public support for trans people, for immigrants, and for abortion access is both 1) incredibly important and 2) punk as fuck.
The only time in my life I've had the "correct" "healthy" BMI for my height was when I was a flat-chested 16-year-old competitive distance runner who was regularly skipping meals. It's just such nonsense.
The guy worked for Blackwater after his military career and posted a list of wars he wished he had fought in, all while having a Nazi tattoo on his chest. What are we doing here.
