These gardeners, housekeepers, nannies kept Pacific Palisades going. Fire took their jobs Housekeepers, gardeners, pool cleaners and other workers have been left grappling with a loss of income and grief for longtime employers they considered family.

This is a story I've been waiting to read. It's incredibly satisfying — to the point of tears — to finally read something that reflects the reality that I personally know to be true.
