So, I actually didn't do this (all day, at least) but I did finally catch the film BORN TO BE BLUE (2015) on streaming (a Chet Baker biopic starring Ethan Hawke). It's good, but man I had such a hard time reconciling the stuff in the film with what I've actually read about Baker ever since college.
Now, I've never worked in intelligence and I'm not a Senator or anything, but what makes someone think, "Another country's spooks are telling me things my own country's won't? Yeah, I'm sure it's good... "
This is gonna be one of those Saturdays when I just put on my lengthy playlist of Chet Baker albums and wait for the earliest socially acceptable hour to have some bourbon...
