UPDATE: My first run was tanked by an insane boss at the end of act three, so business as usual. 🤣 Still, I had a fun time, and the game definitely felt a bit more nuanced and sophisticated than its predecessor in terms of mechanics and possible strategies based on that experience. 👍 Next up, co-op!

This got me pondering what my career trajectory would have been if any of the stories I submitted to science-fiction magazines back in the 90s had been accepted. Honestly not sure if that would have been a good thing or a bad thing as so much of my life would have likely been very different. 🤔
Subscription services are great for discovery and giving new things a try but when it comes to the media I really love and connect with, I always make an effort to permanently acquire them, which is, happily, almost always the best way to financially support their creators. 🙂👍

Been chipping away at "Slay the Spire." After about a dozen runs, I've made it to the end of The Beyond several times but have yet to clear any of the bosses there, who all seem to be colossal jerks from what I've seen. 🤣 Still having fun but all those fights were ridiculous. 🤪

It may seem like a small thing but Goodreads now forcing a login to see shelves and (most importantly) individual reviews is going to cost them mindshare in a big way over time, and open the door for other platforms like The Book Radar and StoryGraph that don't. 🤔
