At my last GDC, the Yerba Buena Gardens were my reprieve from the rest of the conference. I could sit on a shaded bench, close my eyes, and just dissociate for a bit until my social battery was out of the red.
Taking that away and replacing it with gates and a live band... yeah, that's a no for me.
I expected the Festival of Gaming to be a bit of a mess but even I must admit: my gasts are a little flabbered at how GDC managed to fuck up Yerba Buena.
