First time Trump won there was some discussion about OK City likely being the biggest city that Trump "won".
It's hard to match up the voting boundaries with city limits, but I didn't see any discussion about that this time.
Having faced no consequences for anything, Trump has noticed that he has the worldβs largest military at his command, and believes he has found a brilliant solution for solving problems that no one before him was smart enough to discover: just kill everyone in your way, until they obey you.
Trump said today that he thought Iran would attack first... but no planning started to bring citizens home?
"Based on the way the negotiation was going, I think [Iran] was going to attack first, and I didn't want that to happen"
But since Iran is so dangerous, it seems irresponsible that they didn't already have a plan in case Iran had decided to strike first?
So Iran was an extremely serious threat. But also the US had no plans in place to evacuate Americans in the region if Iran had been the one to strike first?
"I think a news org *completely* aligned with the Administration wouldn't have run this segment."
So how much aligned do you think an org could be and still run this segment? Less than 100%
So 25%? 50%? 75%?
How much alignment with the government is your red line before you think it's a problem?
Reform win a seat: The true Volk have spoken and we all must listen.
Greens win a seat: Early reports that Muslims may have βvotedβ (an ancient Islamic practice designed to steal elections). How severely should the franchise be limited in response?
Put another way, what is the difference between "a clear opportunity" and DOGSO if this situation isn't a clear opportunity?
2/2
I would say that having wide open space on the left wing with the nearest defender 10 yards behind you is a clear opportunity to cross that ball to a teammate to score. See what happens and then send him off per the second part of the law.

"exonerated from *what*?"
The Washington Post polling director doesn't comprehend that "afford to buy a home you would want to live in" is not the same as "afford a home".
Why was the question phrased like that? Does it matter if people earning six figures say they can't afford seven figure homes?
Correct. You'll notice that's because "can you afford a home" is not the question that was asked.
"you will be able to afford to buy a home you would want to live in" is specifically asking people to think about the type of neighborhood they want to live in, which is different
What is actually being claimed here?
Is it that people have to show their vote for someone else to verify that they made the correct choice before submitting the ballot?
So a more overt version of this www.cnbc.com/2016/11/08/p... ?
Can you actually say for sure today "better for them if they just let it out at once"?
Doesn't that assume there's nothing important that they're hiding?
If they're hiding something important then this is probably their best strategy?
I don't think this was predicted? But it seems like a benefit to society that we've seen how Epstein's network thinks because of what has been released so far.

This is the obvious problem with whining like this.
The oped even admits: "We have yet to understand the decision by Acosta, almost two decades ago, not to charge Mr. Epstein."
20 years of people like him being inside the system and failing to fix the problems. We should wait another 20 years?
Do we know what Messi's complaint was?
It looked like he was still rubbing his neck at the final whistle after he tumbled into the defender's arse and didn't get a free-kick on the edge of the box. Was it that no-call?
From what I saw Miami did not lose that game because of any of the ref decisions.
Starting by saying "this is John Barron" only makes sense to explain the joke.
And when the counselors don't act in good faith their career is over? Right?
This isn't true? the auction encourages warrant officers to bid their "true value"
If you are in the top 10% of the cohort and you bid with your "true value" in the top 10% then you'll lose out.
It seems to me that the strategy for the top 10% is to opt out?
Did they print the text in that chart wrong, because one of them is not like the others? The most lopsided question of the six is the one not highlighted in the post:
Ban Discrimination against Transgender People +38
That's a good thing!
If only people cared only about things that actually happen.
"the law prohibiting challenges to an adoption after six months is designed to create permanency, so a child is not bounced from one home to another"
If I'm reading this correctly then the child spent all those 6 months in one home. And the ruling is that the child should be taken from that home?
The courage needed to tell people that you're questioning your gender identity is at least an order of magnitude greater than deciding that you'll transition back.
And ideally we could make social transitioning normal enough that kids know they'll be accepted with either choice.

because socially transitioning too early can get them βlocked on to a trajectory that may not have been the correct natural trajectory for themβ
---
That sounds like bullshit to me.
Social transitioning isn't irreversible. They're not "locked".
"When I was doing my review, the default SEEMED TO BE to not contact parents... much less risk of the sorts of things THAT I WAS HEARING"
Why is Cass talking about this if they didn't bother to determine whether what they were hearing was accurate?
What other situation could there ever be where the ref gets to prevent a goal being scored and that's *the best* outcome?
I think when Haaland fouled then the ref should have blown the whistle for full time. Game over before the ball reached the goal. Therefore no DOGSO, no red card, no VAR necessary... game still ends 2-1.
