The worst part of collecting! π
The worst part of collecting! π

Itβs awful π
I know the way to do it is to say βanything I am on the fence about should go in the sell pileβ but that is easier said than done. Not to mention that deciding to sell an action figure means trying to find all the extra bits. π
Another Saturday spent paralyzed trying to organize my collections and deciding what to keep and what to sell π

12. Bros- Wolf Alice (2015)
A song I always liked, but after seeing them do this one live this fall became a true favorite and one I couldnβt stop listening to.

Chuck Jones, man.
Hangman or MJF?
Yeah a couple years older! The 2000s were a bit tough because Emo is very much not my thing, but there was still some good stuff! This is my playlist for that decade BTW π

Iβve been doing a long running music challenge on here and thatβs our next decade.
Thatβs not Bettie Page!
Hey that was on my list too! Such a great song.π
Might have finished Sonic Disruptors!
He's so lame!
To me the problem is not so much the ramifications of the stip, but that he offered it up unprompted in order to get MJF into his signature match. If he loses that, even due to interference, it does tremendous harm to his character. They did a bad job getting to the endpoint. π€Ό

13. Heavy- Gloria (2018)
Gloria is a female fronted throwback psychedelic rock band from France; they are absolutely tremendous and this song is one of their best. I hope some day they tour the US!

Lol not a good day to search for that name, is it? π
My kid sent this to me and my reply was βwell, it isβ
Just took this one earlier today! So sleepy!
Uhhhh well that was pretty much the whole start of his career π€·ββοΈ
Well, you would! π Do you think they did when they started? I have always gotten the sense that Jan and Dean were more in that βweβre publishing what we loveβ mindset than First, which seemed much more strategic from the start.
Yes I think First was the, well, first to have an actual, honest to goodness business plan. π
Yes, you really should! Itβs such a fascinating moment in comics history, and most of the principles are still alive, plus thereβs plenty of material in the fanzines of the time (I really have thought a lot about it LOL). π
Yes, and Fantagraphics and Dark Horse seem to me to be the models for that. When they started they were relatively similar, but Fanta moved fully into the comics lit side, while Dark Horse more or less abandoned their black and white roots for more mainstream comics.
This is *also* the book I have thought about doing (donβt worry I never will). Telling the story of the rise of independents in the 80 largely through the prism of First, Eclipse, and Comico; wrapping up at their collapses and the rise of Image. I hope you do write it some day, I want to read it!
Yes it was well worth reading in full.
There must be another Okada that I am not familiar with, right?
Spritualized vs BMRC is funny because they toured together that year. πAnd also mean! π
