Building an AI Gateway on Fastly Compute | Fastly Route multi-provider LLM requests at the edge. Build a low-latency, policy-driven AI Gateway on Fastly Compute for fast, cost-efficient AI apps.

Wrote up how I built an AI gateway on @fastly.com Compute. One endpoint, any model, routing decisions made at the edge. Bring your own keys and provider relationships. The gateway handles where each request goes, failover, and policy.

Seeing 50 and 60-year-old HN devs share how Claude Code reignited their passion for building software and solving problems over the framework rat race is exactly how I feel.

I haven’t felt this energized in years.

Detractors argue AI removes the craft and familiarity with implementation details.

rv 0.5: CLI tools + Windows

rv 0.5 is out! rv now works on Windows, it supports installing and running Ruby gems as tools (e.g. rvx rails) and running your local scripts or projects with rv run.

(rv is a very Ruby manager/installer/runner)

I think people often wonder this, and it's a great question, so let me explain the advantages of 3D printing whistles. There are many.

The 3D printing effort started from one of our organizers who started by sourcing mass-produced whistles.
