For people wondering I am working in the 2025 splatoon comp scene stats atm. Taking me a bit longer this year.

The complicated part of doing a poster for a LAN is not finding the artist (which is still hard to whittle down) but working out how many you need to print in relation to players and attendees going.

This is a rabbit hole of working out stats from previous LANs.

This is an example of why you need to cap the length of string in software. (Looks at Battlefy...)

A little bit late, but got to go and see Eurovision in person this year.

I've been back from Basel (Switzerland) for less than a day and I already miss the cycle infrastructure. Can Greater Manchester get better cycle infrastructure pls.

I enjoy cycling without being rammed off the road by a deliveroo delivery or by a taxi driver in a rush.

I did a 40 min walk from my hotel in France to Germany, and then back just to get Spezi.

Am I mad, yes but I've missed having this drink.

Who knew trying to redesign @iplabs.ink's production system, database was such a headache...

I need to thank @sendou.ink for putting up with my API requests & @inkfarer.com for their work on interfacing with start.gg's API.

Without their work this wouldn't be possible.

For the 3 platforms they each have an API, for sendou.ink & start.gg they have their own official APIs that are documented. For Battlefy they have an API that isn't documented but the website uses.

We create a common format between the 3 platforms then make the graphs from that

Out of curiosity, would the EU Splatoon Scene want one more @iplabs.ink King of the Castle? A final dual per say, given I never did a final send off.

I stopped running it due to low turn out and cause I had work more hours at my then full time job due to client work coming in.

My Pixel watch has been really hit or miss with activity tracking that I gave up hoping to get anything usable out of it tbh, otherwise I probably would also do that

Time to get Komoot and keep a streak going :)

I would host an EU tourney again if I didn't need to attach a prizepool to get a decent turnout.

Though maybe one day we'll one more KotC again... maybe... no promises
