Populists in any country perform abroad. This casts their own people into squalor. Said populists can then harness the anger, and point the finger abroad.
This is why, the moment courts determined who shot down #MH17, that Wilders went to Moscow.

Anti-vax follows the time-tested methdology of russian propaganda. Introduce doubt, get people arguing, then finally turn the existing narrative upside-down, turning the victim into the aggressor.
